Dr Sam Hurley BSc, BVSc, MAHM - Poultry Veterinarian and Director

Driven by a fascination for exotic animals, especially birds, Sam embarked on his career by delving into the study of wildlife ecology in British Columbia, Canada. His diverse interests encompass a wide range of subjects, including agriculture, animal welfare, integrated pest management, and entomology. With a wealth of expertise in poultry medicine, Sam consistently builds on his clinical experience, working with various avian clients. Motivated by his passion, he aspires to establish a veterinary clinic that caters not only to avian clients but also to those seeking care for exotic animals. Additionally, Sam is committed to advancing his research in innovative therapies within the field.

Jemma McLean BDes.(Hons) - Director

From a young age, Jemma has demonstrated a profound connection with birds, engaging in the nurturing, rescuing, commercial industry and rehabilitation of numerous native, and introduced bird species in New Zealand throughout her life. With a wealth of expertise and hands-on experience in bird husbandry, Jemma recognised the demand for a service that provides accessible and reliable avian professionals to cater to the needs of anyone seeking assistance with their birds.
